About Regeneration Projects
A COVID-19 Startup story!
Matt Sykes is the Founder of Regeneration Projects, a small independent business specialising in environmental education and Two Bays is our signature product. With a background combining landscape architecture, short film production, ecotourism, consulting and Indigenous partnerships, he's super passionate about equipping the next generation civic leaders with skills for 21st Century living. Matt is a big believer of starting in your own backyard and aspiring to create global impacts.

Matt started Regeneration Projects at his kitchen table on Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula during 2020’s COVID-19 Lockdown. #RegenFridays litter clean ups became a tradition.

Learning to see Nature as a stakeholder
This a ‘shout out’ to the ecosystems upon which all businesses around the Planet depend. We’re just starting in our own backyard!
Regeneration Projects is a small business that that depends upon Melbourne’s two great Bays – Port Phillip and Western Port, which are known to Kulin First Peoples as Nairm and Warn Marin / Marin Biik – as well as the Birrarung / Yarra River.
The podcast is co-hosted by workmates Matt Sykes (the Aussie founder of Regeneration Projects) and Claire Wild (a Kiwi colleague), and explores stories of leaders who inspire hope in the face of the Planetary Crisis.
